In her race for Erie County Comptroller, Vanessa Glushefski, a Certified Public Accountant and attorney, has earned the endorsement of the Buffalo Teachers Federation, the union that represents more than 3,600 educators across our city and is affiliated with the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the National Education Association (NEA).
The BTF’s pledge of support marks Vanessa’s 10th union endorsement and 19th major endorsement overall.
“As someone who understands the vital role organized labor plays in creating an equitable, just community for working families, I’m proud to have the support of union members from many professions, across Erie County,” Vanessa said.
“The BTF works for the betterment of our community by protecting public education and fighting for students and classroom teachers, “ she continued. “I’m honored to accept their endorsement.”
