Erie County’s $1.7 billion dollar budget needs a qualified Chief Financial Officer.  As a CPA with years of public accounting experience, I have the skills and training necessary to oversee Erie County’s substantial finances.  The residents of Erie County deserve a qualified Comptroller and smarter government.

Professionalism & Integrity

The Chief Financial Officer should also be a consummate professional with the highest levels of integrity.  A professional knows when and how to use his or her authority.  A professional disagrees when necessary, but, ultimately works with others toward a common purpose.  A professional understands the ethics required of the office and lets that knowledge dictate his or her actions.  In my years as CPA and attorney, I have demonstrated these characteristics, and I’m ready to bring these characteristics back to the office of Erie County Comptroller.

Community Service

Above all else, a public officer should be someone who is wholly dedicated to his or community. In the time I’ve been in Buffalo, I have donated my time to serve on various volunteer boards, including the WNY Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of New York and the Center for Elder Law and Justice; I have donated hundreds of pro bono service hours to indigent clients; and I have chosen to forego monetary gain to serve a higher purpose.  My track record is undeniable- I’m not another politician seeking to sell you an illusion; there are no parlour tricks here.  This is who I am, and this is what I do.
